December 2012: Daily Flowers

I got an amazing bouquet of flowers and started drawing it daily. I collected some of the sketches here :)

December 2012: Trip to NY - The City

We pick different favorites in the Impressionist wing but more or less agree on Egyptian art and Arms and Armor. We stroll through Central Park many times. We look at all the lights around the city. Take bus and subway. Say hi to dogs and people. All in all I think we blend well :)

Visiting Dinosaurs is always great - they are so patient with us drawing them and never complain that something does not look right in the drawing :)

Trip to NY - Train Show in The New York Botanical Garden

Train Show was amazing - and is definitely worth a visit for nay urban sketcher as well as nature sketcher: imagine all kinds of famous NY buildings made out of natural materials (acorns, nuts etc.) sitting among tropical plants! A little too hit for me inside though - we went to play among the wonderfully decorated Christmas Trees after a while :) Bare trees, ice on water, some signs of Sandy - but not too bad in the Bronx.

End of the month was filled with events, meetings and long waits - in airports, theaters, offices and government buildings... I was lucky that not too many people noticed me sketching but one police officer was very suspicious (I was not drawing him though ;)
