Sketchbook #93: Sketching with a friend
Here are a few pages from my sketchbook outing with Suhita Shirodkar this December!
Sketchbook #93: Holiday Food
Sketchbook #93: Persimmons of November
Over a months of October, November and December I draw persimmons more often than anything else :) I draw them with pencil, color pencils, watercolors, gouache, acrylic, inks but it always ends the same way: I eat my subjects.
Sketchbook #93: Sketching in an Amazing Persimmon Orchard!
An amazing artist and my sketching friend Gay Kraeger invited me to draw in a persimmon orchard - it was one of the best days in November!
Sketchbook #93: Monochromatic Persimmons
Sometimes it's fun to try different materials when drawing the same subject matter for a whole season :)
Sketchbook #93: Treasures
Often I start with one corner and continue adding treasures as they are found or presented to me by others. And sometimes I get a whole page worth of treasures at once!
Sketchbook #93: Persimmons on My Table
The original idea of drawing all the persimmons I eat during this season was folly of course. But I tried to draw one for every 10 I ate ;) And still do (this is catching-up post from almost a month ago :)
