"Empty" for Illustration Friday

Sunday evening. Since Friday I did a lot of versions and realized that no matter how many ways to convey the "emptyness" I found - none of them really spoke what I wanted. And at the end this little drawing did it... this is a sketch about people leaving us.
Comments and questions are welcome.
thanks,
Nina

The critter looks confused... an empty feeling, indeed.

Hey there

Love the minimalist linework used to create this lovable critter.

Hey, that's pretty cool in its simplicity. The face especially is very logo/icon-esque. You oughta consider taking this a bit further, thickening select lines slightly and vectorizing it - it'd make a good design for something. Maybe a shirt?

Thanks for suggestion Jeope!
I am thnking about developing this character further - althoough he is quite sad and I am not sure people woould like to wear sad t-chirts :)

Grew up a military brat. My friends were always leaving. This picture captured perfectly the sensation of loss.
