Cold morning
I do some sketching while I walk daily - this was a few days ago on a sunny, cold morning walk. Too cold to complete applying watercolor I think ;)

It lives again! It's been a little over a week after the frosty night and here it is - opening new flowers ;)

I am fortunate enough to live in sunny California - magnolias started to open flowers right after New Years.
But last week we had some exceptionally cold temperature (in the upper 20th = -3 Celsius ;) Ha-ha-ha (sorry - I've seen some colder winters ;) And magnolia flowers didn't survive - I sketched the same tree, but with dead, brown flowers.

I don't know how about you, but Santa always amazed me with his productivity - and ability to find presents - he is my super hero! ;)
