February 2014: Long and Interesting Day

This was a day filled with events:
First - a visit to a new dentist office,
February 2014: Visit to the Dentist
Then collecting treasures in San Francisco February 2014: Treasures
and finally meeting in real life an online sketching friend - Suhita!

I did many many pages of sketches in my little pocket moleskine book on that day and most of them are in the recycling bin. But I had to keep something for the record - so here it is - my best shot :) And here is how Suhita saw me on that day :)

It was a very quiet, silver forest of "not yet spring" - even though everything is in bloom outside of it, it's still wintery. And then I saw this colorful log!

I think I made a mistake when I drew shapes of clouds here. But I like that purple hill and orange splashes. It was a beautiful day!

It's always interesting to swim with kids in their waters :) And fun to draw alongside them :)

Small journal pages to be discreet around hyperactive crowd helped :) And animals are fun to draw too :) January 2014: Trip to the Zoo

I have no clue what tree this was but I found these "boats" with seeds like honeycomb and now obsessed with identifying it :)

This is a glance back at sketchbook #79 - it was fun, though I am ready for a beautiful 300 lb watercolor paper of my new Sketchbook :) It has a window in the cover and you can see my first page - sketched with the ink and new nib - to celebrate the return of sturdy paper and a nice round number 80 on the inside cover :)
