Illustration Friday: chair

This week's subject created a swirl of sketches - I am posting here one that I like (of a chair) and one of the idea of a chair. Originally I hoped to make them work together but I think they work better alone.

  1. Each one is beautiful in its own way. I love the richness of the second, red painting. I love the lighter texture and colors of the first, and the way you've fit the chairs in with trees. Nicely done!

  3. Both are good. In the first one I see an autumn forest and I get this feeling of respecting the trees from it. The chairs seem to be the babies of the trees.

  4. I'll join in - I like both! It's neat that they are so different...the top one light and airy with the thin-lined sketches and the watercolor, the bottom one rich and solid looking. Very nice:>

  5. I like the images of the chairs pasted over the images of trees. What a strong message.
